2338 Bonny Road is a building riddled with history for Bouchie Lake.  So very often we get people popping into 2338 Bonny Road and it becomes a trip down memory lane. People share stories of visiting the store during their younger days, purchasing penny candy, when they worked here, when there was a restaurant in the building, when the post boxes and gas tanks were there, when there was a robbery, when one could purchase ice cream through a drive through, and so forth.

This is what we know:  The building at 2338 Bonny Road was constructed in the early 1970's as a more modern store to replace the original Bouchie Lake General Store (Bonny Hill Store) that was located proximal to where Rocky's General Store is today (across from the site of the old hall - destroyed by fire in 1974).  The original store was constructed by Thomas Brazier Armstrong in 1950 and it was demolished on September 17, 1987.

2338 Bonny Road was built by Dr. Jarvis Tompkins who had purchased the Vernon Estate (Ceal Tingley was the Real Estate Agent to sell it).  It was constructed for  a Mr. Dick Burke who leased it from Dr. Tompkins until his retirement in 1978.

The businesses within 2338 Bonny Road have changed over the years and this is what is known so far:

Bouchie Lake Country Store: February 26, 2015 to present

Bouchie Lake Farm & Feed: January, 2010 to May, 2014
